Aleksandr Korolev was born in a family of painters in Minsk, Belarus, in 1986. He got the first painting skills from his father who is famous Belarusian artist Victor Korolev.
From 1998 to 2005 Aleksandr studied at the Akhremchik’s Belarusian Republican College of Arts in Minsk, Belarus. He moved to Moscow, Russia where he started his career as a teacher of painting and entered to the Surikov’s Moscow State Academic Art Institute under the Russian Academy of Arts, in 2005. He studied painting under such teachers as Dubovic, Bakshaev and Mokrushin. In 2007-2011 he studied at the studio of battle-historical painting under Professor of Painting Nikolay Solomin.
In 2009 he was awarded a gold medal of Russian Academy of Arts for his painting “The Deal”.
The painter has been travelling a lot in Russia, Europe, India, the Middle East. Bright impressions from the journeys found their reflection in the series of paintings and graphic works.
Aleksandr paints genre and historical subjects, portraits, still life, landscapes, illustrations.
